Wild Swans: Three Daughters of China

Wild Swans: Three Daughters of China - Jung Chang Wonderful first-hand account of life in China from the times of Japanese rule to Kuomintang and then to the Communist-era of Mao Zedong and his queer policies and ending with liberal term of Deng Xiaoping. It is a well-written memoir and kept my interest going till the end. It though drags a bit at times in the middle due to excessive details and a bit difficult to keep track of characters sometimes. But if persisted, it is a good read.
