My first tryst with Mark Twain and am certain that it wouldn't be the last. The story was nostalgic. Tom had rich experiences and it was fun to read and enjoy them.

Wimsey is finally married to Harriet Vane and both encounter a corpse during their honeymoon. I liked it.
Gaudy Night (Lord Peter Wimsey Mysteries)
A thriller with no murder to boost of. I feel its one of the best of the Peter Wimsey's mysteries. Oxford setting with Poison pen letters and Feminine dilemma of early 20th century makes it an excellent read.
The Documents in the Case
First 50 pages were difficult to go through because of the letter based narrative. But after that the book has been awesome with physics and chemistry thrown in!
Miss Marple: the Complete Short Stories
Read this collection of short stories again. I love her work and these stories were also enjoyable.
The Last Lecture
Inspirational account of an Academic staring at death due to Cancer. His thoughts, dreams and emotions are heart-warming as well as courageous. A must-read.
Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde and Other Stories
My book included three stories - The famous 'Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde' and two not so well known 'The Beach of Falesa' and 'The Ebb-Tide'. Similar to the Jekyll-Hyde story, other two stories also had characters with various shades. But both were not as intriguing as the first one.
Liar's Poker: Rising Through the Wreckage on Wall Street
Michael Lewis is a compelling storyteller. Good account of inside story at Salomon Brothers in 80s. Quite relevant even today.
The Lost Symbol (Robert Langdon)
Even though I felt that the ending of the book was a bit prolonged but nevertheless it was an interesting plot. I enjoyed reading it.

Relevant theory on Hierarchiology but most of the book talks about the same thing by giving varied examples.
The Little Sister
Not my favourite Philip Marlowe Novel. The plot was not as great as other Chandler novels but it has its usual dose of sardonic wit; lovely dames and twists and turns.

Wonderful Wimsey mystery invloving a corpse found in another grave intertwined with the mystery of long lost Emerald necklace.
The Lady in the Lake
A Phillip Marlowe mystery involving 2 missing ladies and body of one of them being found in the lake. Wonderfull story with all the Chandleresque twists and everything falling together at the end.
Murder Must Advertise (A Lord Peter Wimsey Mystery)
Another Peter Wimsey classic. The setting is an advertising firm and even though the mystery of dope and killing was not great but the presentation was beautiful.
Wild Swans: Three Daughters of China
Wonderful first-hand account of life in China from the times of Japanese rule to Kuomintang and then to the Communist-era of Mao Zedong and his queer policies and ending with liberal term of Deng Xiaoping. It is a well-written memoir and kept my interest going till the end. It though drags a bit at times in the middle due to excessive details and a bit difficult to keep track of characters sometimes. But if persisted, it is a good read.
